1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using this website and our services, including CutList Pro ("the Tool"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

By creating an account, you additionally confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.

2. Description of Service

CutList Pro is a web-based cabinet cut list generator that allows users to configure cabinet and drawer units, generate cut lists with edge banding specifications following South African standards, and export or print the results.

The Tool is provided free of charge. Certain features (exporting, printing, saving projects) require a registered account.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

You may create an account using an email address and password, or through Google sign-in. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials secure.

3.2 Account Responsibility

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

3.3 Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Tool for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Tool
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Tool
  • Use automated scripts or bots to access the Tool
  • Reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, or exploit any portion of the service without express written permission

5. Intellectual Property

The MakersCorner name, logo, CutList Pro name, and all associated branding are the intellectual property of MakersCorner. The Tool's design, code, algorithms, and content are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Cut lists and project data that you create using the Tool belong to you. We claim no ownership over your project data.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE TOOL IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Specifically, MakersCorner does not warrant that:

  • The calculations, measurements, or cut list specifications generated by the Tool are accurate, complete, or error-free
  • The Tool will meet your specific requirements
  • The Tool will be available uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
  • Any defects in the Tool will be corrected

YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING ALL CALCULATIONS, DIMENSIONS, EDGE BANDING SPECIFICATIONS, AND MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS BEFORE CUTTING, ORDERING, OR PURCHASING ANY MATERIALS. MAKERSCORNER SHALL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ERRORS IN CUT LISTS PRODUCED BY THE TOOL.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY SOUTH AFRICAN LAW, MAKERSCORNER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE TOOL, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Material waste due to incorrect measurements or specifications
  • Financial losses from ordering incorrect quantities or dimensions
  • Damage to materials, equipment, or property
  • Loss of data or project information
  • Business interruption or lost profits

This limitation applies whether the alleged liability is based on contract, delict (tort), negligence, strict liability, or any other basis, even if MakersCorner has been advised of the possibility of such damage.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MakersCorner, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Tool
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Any claim that materials were cut, ordered, or wasted based on output from the Tool

9. Data Collection and Privacy

Your use of the Tool is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Tool, you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.

By creating an account, you acknowledge that:

  • Your cabinet and drawer configurations may be logged for analytics purposes when you export or print a cut list
  • Aggregated, anonymised usage data may be used for product development and business purposes
  • Your project data is stored on cloud servers (Supabase) and protected by row-level security

10. Service Availability and Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Tool or any part thereof at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance.

On the Supabase free tier, projects may be paused after periods of inactivity. While we endeavour to maintain continuous availability, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

11. Third-Party Services

The Tool integrates with the following third-party services:

  • Supabase: Database hosting and authentication
  • Vercel: Application hosting and deployment
  • Google: OAuth authentication (if you choose to sign in with Google)

Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. MakersCorner is not responsible for the practices of third-party service providers.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including POPIA and the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 (where applicable).

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of South Africa.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

14. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users via email. Continued use of the Tool after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
